Carole A. Darst

Carole Darst, age 79, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at home after a long illness. She was born in Marion, Ohio to the late Dorothy (Van Voorhis) and Martin Beckel. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Darst. She is survived by sons, Kenneth of Delaware, Ohio, and Keith of Broomfield, CO; sister, Ruth Swisher of Obetz, OH., brother Robert of Richwood, OH; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. After graduating in 1961 from Marion Harding High School, she worked as beautician for 20 years in University City and later from home and retired from Farmers Insurance after 20 years of service. Those who knew Carole knew how kind and generous she was, and how much she liked helping others. Both before and after retirement, she enjoyed traveling with friends and family, reading, knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207, Chaplain Stan Kirtlan officiating. Interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester.
