Carl Steele

Carl H. Steele, age 82, passed away March 17, 2010 at Regency Hospital of Columbus. Born July 8, 1927 to George and Carrie Steele in Cordell, KY. Carl was an electrician and served 47 years as a member of I.B.E.W. Local 683. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Marie; sisters Jeanne and Kathleen. Carl is survived by his girls, daughter Dianna K. Steele; granddaughters, Jill Marie Sluss; 2 wonderful granddaughters Madison and Emma Sluss all of Worthington; estranged daughter Donna J. Bell; sister Helen Roberts of Dayton; nieces and nephews. Carl was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law. He became terminally ill after serving as a caregiver for his wonderful wife, Marie, who God called Home earlier this year. Carl always made new friends wherever his travels took him, especially telling and receiving a good joke or two! Carl will be greatly missed by his girls who never wavered away from his bedside. We held on to our strong Hero's Hands treasuring the days with lively conversation and weeping with him as he wept, now knowing we're only separated for a short while. But soon we'll meet again, embracing once again, but this time forever as God has completed his promise of bringing us to our Heavenly Home where sadness, sickness, and every woe holds no memory ever again!
