Bun Tan

BUN PHIN TAN, age 72, beloved husband of Chheng An Un, father of Chandy, Sokphala, Sopolly, Rany, Rina and Sundavish; grandfather of 13; great-grandfather of one. Bun was born in Cambodia and worked as an English professor. He had a passion for reading and writing, often interpreting poetry in different languages. Bun was able to speak and write in Khmer, Vietnamese, French and English. He moved to the U.S. in 1981 with his wife and two eldest daughters. He raised his family in their home on the west side of Cleveland, working as a baker at Athens Food for 37 years until his retirement. He cherished spending time with his family, almost always carrying a camcorder.
