Bruce R. Motsch, age 60, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away on March 27, 2018 following a short illness. Bruce was born in Lorain, Ohio and resided in Avon, Ohio graduating from Avon High School. He received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from The Ohio State University. Bruce worked for thirty years with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He served as a board member for several years at Windsor Bridge at The Preserve Condominium Association where he resided. He also served on a Ohio State IRB committee for cancer research. He enjoyed golf, camping and hiking. Bruce was devoted son, uncle, great-uncle and good friend to so many. He will always be remembered for his gentle and kind nature to all who knew him.
Bruce is survived by his brothers, Barry (Joyce) Motsch of Lorain, Brian (Lynn) Motsch of Avon Lake; his nephews, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Motsch, Justin (Molly) Motsch, Jeffrey (Melissa) Motsch, and three great-nieces, Adeline, Eleanor, Cora, and one great-nephew, Henry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley M. Motsch and his father, Raymond L. Motsch.
A funeral mass will be officiated by Rev. Michael Hinterschied on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10 a.m., at Saint Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215. A Celebration of Life open house will be held at Windsor Bridge at The Preserve Condominium Association party center from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday April 6, 2018.
