Betty Topping

Betty Topping, born November 29, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on June 17, 2015. Member of Lighthouse Ministries (formerly of Delray Road C.C.C.U.) and most recently attended Services at Heritage Freewill Baptist Church. Retired from the Columbus Public Schools - most recent position Secretary at Scioto Trail Elementary. Graduated from Central High School. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Topping; her parents William and Mary McKenzie; sisters Lizzie Upperman, Georgia Seitz, Josephine Jordan, Martha Kauser, May Watson, Rosie Eagleston, and brother Richard McKenzie. Survived by sons, Bryan (Nancy) Topping, Steven (Debbie) Topping of Columbus; daughters Pamela (Nick) Karan of Westerville and Paula (Mike) Refice of Columbus; grandsons, Jeffrey Karan, Michael Karan, Ryan (Linda) Topping, Sean (Emily) Topping, Andrew (Claudia) Topping, Jacob Topping, and granddaughter Amanda (Ryan) Messmer; great-grandchildren Tyler and Stephanie Karan of Cincinnati, Rauri and Cian Topping, Olivia and Norah Messmer and Andrea Topping, step grand-children Michael (Missy) Huffman & Aaron Huffman, step great-grandchildren Conner Huffman, Kirsten Huffman and Bennett Huffman numerous nephews and nieces.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Saturday 10 a.m. at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Rd., Columbus, OH 43207. Rev. Dr. Tim W. Stout officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
