Bernard Mason

Bernard "Bernie" Mason, age 75, of Columbus, passed away at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday March 4, 2008 at Grant Medical Center. He had been sick for five years. He is survived by wife, Frances of 56 years; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Curtis Smith; son, Paul Mason; 3 grandchildren, Chris Smith Sr. (Penny Blake), Jennifer (Jeff) Newsome and Kyle Mason; 3 great-grandchildren, Chris Smith Jr., Blake Newsome and Dylan Mason; Our most beautiful daughter-in-law, Toni Rapp Mason. Bernard is preceded in death by son, Marvin Mason; 2 brothers, Robert and Roger; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bunfill. He has a half sister, Florence Hill and a half brother, Paul Bunfill. Bernie worked at Local 683 Electrical. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses on the 6th floor at Grant and the ER workers. Bernie only got the best care from you, we'll never forget you. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Friday 10 a.m., Rev. Don Eddy Back officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster.
