Anne E. (Smith) Kessler, age 88, of Columbus, OH died Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Summerville at Chestnut Hill in Gahanna after a long illness. Mom was first and foremost a loving wife and mother. Having raised seven children, she instilled in everyone the love of our Lord and love of others. Mom always thought of others before herself. Her life was a reflection of unselfish love. Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles E. Kessler, daughter, Gloria Jean Kessler, mother Therza M. Smith and brother, Gaylord and Harold Smith. She is survived by her children, Charles (Suzi) Kessler, Connie Corrova, Raymond (Delores), Rosemary (Bob) Vance, Steve (Chris) Kessler and Roberta (Jack) Abram; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. We would be remiss if we did not express our deepest appreciation for our loving Uncle Bob, now deceased and Aunt Mickey for their generous support of our mother, father and family. Our deepest appreciation and thanks to the staff at Summerville at Chestnut in Gahanna for their loving care of our precious mother over the past year and to Mt. Carmel Hospice for their care and support. Family will receive friends Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m., Nick Corrova, one of Anne's grandsons, will officiate at her service and give her eulogy. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in Anne's memory, contributions may be directed to Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, 2879 Johnstown Rd., Columbus OH 43219.
