Alta Ruggles

Alta B. Ruggles, age 84 of Columbus, Ohio celebrated her homecoming November 8, 2009. Born February 8, 1925 in Hitchins, KY to Jerome and Mabel Blankenship, she celebrated 61 years of marriage to Joseph J. Ruggles last December 20. Preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings she was the beloved mother of Joseph R (Claudia) Ruggles and Jane (Daniel) Kopp and cherished grandmother to Ian (Krista) Ruggles and Amanda (David) Jones, Jeremy Kopp and Brannyn (Timothy) Hiser and great grandmother to Colin, Annika and Brayden Ruggles. Once a teacher & "Rosie Riveter" (WWII) Alta was a loving homemaker & servant to her family & Lord. She was a dedicated member of the United Brethren Church for the last 45 years. She will be so very missed! Visitation Wednesday 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Rev. Daniel W. Kopp officiating.
